The information in this section is designed to help study abroad advisors and faculty advise students about programs of the International Partnership for Service-Learning and Leadership (IPSL).

IPSL programs unite study abroad for credit with substantive volunteer service. You are in the right place if you or your students are looking for programs that will:

fully immerse them in another culture
make their academic studies immediate and relevant
develop their cross-cultural knowledge and skills
deepen their understanding of complex cultural and global issues
accelerate their language learning, and
further their commitment to use their education to address the problems of their community, nation and world.

Please note that although volunteer service is an integral part of IPSL programs, IPSL does not award credit for service. Credit is given for the demonstrated learning (papers, journals, presentations, and examinations) in academic courses, evaluated by qualified, in-country professors of the host institution.
